This occupation was elevated to the rank of art in Ancient Rome, overthrown into damned prohibitions in the Middle Ages, and again fell in love in the 20th century. The bathroom is not just a container of water to cleanse the body, but also a place of relaxation, improving the look, caring for the nervous system, and improving health. All this will be discussed in detail and in general terms.

The advantages of the bath are numerous, it:

  1. Heats the body (after frost / cold rain), protecting against colds.
  2. Helps relax muscles.
  3. Deeply cleanses the skin, improves its smoothness and elasticity.
  4. Improves mood, drives off anxiety, helps to relax, or if the water is below body temperature - it invigorates.

And in special cases - acts as a medicine.

Theoretically, the bathroom can be taken at any time of the day, but it is believed that before 10 in the morning it tones up, and after 8 in the evening it contributes to the mood for rest until the next day.

Bath time is a matter of taste, but the effectiveness of this water event will be even if you stay in it for less than 20 minutes. You can stay longer in hot water only on condition that its level does not reach the heart of a seated person.

When planning to go to the bath, please note that:

  • at least 1 hour should pass from eating to it;
  • if you really need to wash yourself from pollution, then you should first take a hygienic shower, and then go down to the bathroom;
  • if the body aches from fatigue, 5 minutes before the bath you need to stretch your legs (at least repeat morning exercises).

Plus, there is also safety points:

  • nearby, there should be no equipment connected to outlets, for example, a recharged smartphone or hairdryer. The terrible consequences of falling into the water are not urban legend at all;
  • in movies / books, relaxing in the bathroom with a glass of wine is elegant, but in reality, it will only accelerate intoxication and negatively strain the stomach.

The best water temperature is considered to be a range from +34 to +39 degrees, what is higher or lower refers to cold / hot baths, which are not recommended to be preferred on an ongoing basis. The former are sometimes needed by athletes (with physical overload) to accelerate the cleansing of the body of toxins, the latter improve blood circulation, save from depression. And this is only a small part of their specific properties.

It is still important to list cases where bath is contraindicated:

  • non-healing wounds / postoperative sutures;
  • cardiovascular failure;
  • atherosclerosis;
  • hypertension.

And separately hot baths are contraindicated in:

  • bruises;
  • tendency to thrombosis;
  • problems with conception;
  • menses.

The oldest cosmetology bathtub made of honey and milk dates back to the time of Cleopatra, they say, so increasing its beauty. This combination can really moisturize the skin, nourish vitamins, rejuvenate, and whiten. The rules of royal care are as follows:

  • 2 liters of fat milk with a glass of honey dissolved in it are enough for the bathroom;
  • the duration of the procedure is 30 minutes;
  • for a noticeable effect you need 10 baths taken every other day.

To treat oily, inflamed, problematic skin and accelerate its recovery, if it is sagging, stretch marks have occurred, use baths with cosmetic clays - first dilute a handful with a small amount of water to the consistency of sour cream, then dissolve in the entire volume of water.

Sea salt (often scented and mottled, like crushed gems) added to water strengthens the immune system, treats respiratory organs and skin diseases.

But the foam, in addition, amusing magnificently weightlessly, can be useful only with additives, for example, vitamins.

Medicinal plants are mixed in water as decoctions / infusions and essential oils. The recommended concentration of the latter is 1 drop per 20 liters of water and they:

  • lavender - improves the condition of the musculoskeletal system, treats allergies;
  • lemon - increases efficiency, improves the supply of oxygen to cells;
  • mint - relieves headaches, nasal congestion.

Other plants are also good:

  • horsetail treats kidney pathology;
  • ginger contributes to weight loss;
  • Linden stimulates perspiration.

The latter means a lot with colds, viral diseases and the fact that the bath in these cases is contraindicated is a myth. If it is not hot, the body temperature does not exceed 37 ° C and the well-being allows - this sort of procedure with medicinal gifts of flora (chamomile, Ivan-tea) will only benefit.

The bath expands the pores of the skin. Which contributes not only to its purification, but also to the loss of fat. Therefore, it is advisable to wipe yourself dry with a moisturizer / milk and don’t put on anything other than a towel / bathrobe for 10-15 minutes.

When the appetite develops after the bath, this is normal.

But before allowing him to lead himself, it is advisable to wait half an hour, for which you can drink a cup of herbal tea or hot chocolate - the body is ready to absorb all the useful substances, as well as vividly turn simple carbohydrates into energy for the functioning of internal organs, the brain. But from physical exertion, access to a cold street, it is recommended to abstain for at least 3 hours.

And it is very curious that, according to the latest research of scientists, if it is not possible according to individual uncomfortable perception to temper by pouring ice water, such a valuable effect can be achieved in a more gentle way, for which:

  • take a bath with a water temperature of 40 ° C for 10 minutes;
  • then for 2-5 minutes a tolerably cool shower;
  • and finally rubbed with a hard towel.

For those who have problems sleeping, after an evening hot bath it is recommended to go to bed in the bedroom with the window ajar (so that it is fresh), at an air temperature of about 14 ° C (and if there is not enough weather, turn on the air conditioner with cooling function), but under warm a blanket.

And finally, it is worth noting that it is not recommended to take a bath more often 2-3 times a week (taking into account the fact that a shower is also visited every day). Otherwise, you can literally destroy, wash away from the skin the finest natural protective layer that protects against wrinkles, irritation, and the influence of ultraviolet radiation.
