Scientists from Singapore have found that regular lack of sleep is extremely dangerous for the human nervous system, as it leads to rapid brain aging. The original assumption was confirmed by studies of 66 elderly Chinese. Study participants were examined twice a year. In addition to the general health survey, in particular, the brain volume and the ability to record information were measured.
It was found that a lack of sleep causes an increase in the size of the brain ventricles. Currently, scientists are concerned about this problem and are looking for ways to preserve the mental health of a person.
